Jemmillion: Thank you for the opportunity to interview you, and for the constant support you’ve shown me over this past year. Obviously, you’ve dedicated a good portion of your life to the fighting game community. How long have you been playing video games? What was the first fighting game that you ever played?

UltraDavid: I’ve been playing video games since my dad bought a Commodore 64 in about 1985. I was just a toddler so he bought it at least as much for himself as for me, but I played with him a bunch and was hooked for life! The first fighting game I played was Street Fighter II. Jemmillion: How long have you been playing fighting games? 

REO: I’ve been playing fighting games since I was six-years-old. I was given an N64 along with Super Mario 64, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, and Duke Nukem by a relative. I had no idea what a gaming console was or the effect it would have on me until I sat down to play it for the first time. Jemmillion: The first tournament I ever attended was Summer Jam 7 in 2013. I had the great opportunity of getting to speak with you. At the time, I had known you as the guy who played Aquaman in Injustice: Gods Among Us. After the tournament was over, I learned that you have been active in the Mortal Kombat scene for a long time.
