Interview with Pro-Fighting Gamer AG|Native Impact

Native Impact Interview PhotoJemmillion: It was great getting the opportunity to meet and speak with you at Summer Jam 8. Besides being the first player to ever make it into a grand final with T-Hawk, how did Summer Jam this year differ from the previous tournaments you’ve competed in?

Native Impact: It differed from a ton of tournaments actually! Despite making grand finals, I was pretty much playing with a whole new character considering so much changed in this iteration. But honestly, the tournament was the best ever for me. It was definitely a phenomenal experience, and I plan to come to every Big E event that I can now! read more

Jemmillion: Your current sponsor is Bifuteki (BIFU). Can you tell us a little bit about how and when they approached you?

Coach Steve: I actually approached them. At the time, I had just parted ways with my old team, Dominion Method Gaming (DMG). Andre (Bifuteki) was one of the main ones who knew of the frustrations I had with DMG. When I left, I spoke to him about being a part of team BIFU and was accepted with open arms. read more

Interview with Pro-Fighting Gamer MMG|CubanoLoco

Cubanoloco interview photoJemmillion: What age did you start playing video games?

CubanoLoco: I think I started playing video games when I was six or seven years old. My grandfather on my mom’s side of the family used to have an old Atari 2600 with Space Invaders, which I used to play a lot of. My first gaming console was an NES with Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, and Batman.

Jemmillion: When did you start playing Street Fighter?

CubanoLoco: My first Street Fighter experience was when I first played it an old United Artists theatre in Redwood City, CA that doesn’t exist anymore. I remember playing as Ryu against CPU Dhalsim, and I thought that was the cheapest character ever! After that, I started playing Street Fighter 2 every week at Malibu Grand Prix in Redwood City when it was still around as well. When I turned nine years old, I got my first SNES and rented Street Fighter 2 from my local Blockbuster Video and wouldn’t return it for days. I later bought a copy of my own and would play it with my friends every day. read more
